[Head-Hunter] Account Manager - SEA (Jakarta Based)

Our client, a world-class mining equipment services and support, is seeking an experienced candidate for the following position :

Account Manager - South East Asia (Jakarta-Based)

Account Management

  • Maximise opportunities for the Company business on existing sites
  • Maintain a close liaison with the Business Manger SEA, Director Operations and Director Sales, Marketing & Service Support to maximise efficiencies for the business
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the Company's Products, Parts and Service capabilities that will assist you to meet the Company's sales goals in your region for a range of customers as identified and agreed from time to time by the Directors
  • Be aware of and seek information of Company competitors for the purposes of benchmarking Company products which will assist you with the technical detail to accurately compare Company products with Company competitors
  • Assist with market analysis and prepare product performance reports of your core customer base
  • Prepare sales and forecast reports as required by Director - Operations
  • Actively solicit parts, manufacturing, service, predictive diagnostics and repair work to allow maximum utilisation of Company facilities and capabilities 
  • Prepare and deliver sales packages specific to your customer needs, including updating your customer base with appropriate technical and parts information

Develop and Maintain Relationships
  • Actively seek business development opportunities to increase revenue and meet Company customer's needs
  • Maintain close contact with the extractive minerals/energy market's major clients and leading contractor groups
  • Demonstrate integrity in all aspects of business in particular when dealing with Company proprietary information, customer information, contract negotiations and disputes resolution
  • Ensure communication between the various team members in SEA is regular and productive for the efficient operation of the business. Maintain accurate records of customer contacts

Environment, Health & Safety
  • Ensure all relevant OH&S legislation and company policies and procedures are fully complied with


  • Relevant Business, Marketing or Engineering Bachelor degree highly regarded
  • Electrical / Mechanical trade certificate or Engineering qualifications
  • Previous experience in the mining industry or related heavy industry
  • Demonstrated experience in doing business within Asia. Cultural understanding
  • Proven Sales and Marketing background
  • Previous tender preparation and sales quotation experience
  • Demonstrated sales and account management skills including sales & customer presentations
  • Demonstrated solution based problem solving and negotiation skills
  • High level written and oral communication skills English and Bahasa
  • High level computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
